For sale in the Eyrie! :star: [link] :star:

I've made several attempts at wire wrapping feathers before, but I've only just gotten the hang of doing it somewhat neatly. Quite pleased with this one. :)

I obtained the feather from a licenced game keeper, who culls certain birds as they can be pests. This feather was taken with utmost respect, and it would have gone to waste if not repurposed. :)

Eurasian Jay, correct? :D
Id also love to know how you wrapped it. I think I have the same gauge wire as that. And I usually do feathers with string wrapped around. SO time consuming. D: but id love to make a feather necklace. <3

You are correct sir. :D

I'll be doing a tutorial on how to do the wire wrapping once I've perfected it. It's a little hard to explain with pics. ^^;

This is lovely! Did you use any sort of tutorial for wire wrapping the feather? I've always wondered how people do it and make it look so nice like this. :)

Thankies! :) I've never actually looked a wire wrapping tutorial yet (whoops, probably should really). With this technique I mimicked the style of the artisan I comissioned to make this sash:[link]

I'll happily put a tutorial up when I perfect it. Right now it's 50/50 wether it turns put decent or not. I still can't figure out how to do it properly without the pliars biting the metal. :dead:

I would love to see a tutorial! I've been wanting to make myself something with a couple of crow feathers, but I can't seem to make them hang right.

The sash is beautiful!
